It has been another busy half term at St. Joseph’s with many and varied activities, trips, workshops and visiting speakers.

Prep 4 have had workshops on World War II, Egypt and a visit from Mr. Beamish. He visits the School every year to talk to the girls about his experience as a very young evacuee during the war.

Infants 2 learned about toys in the Victorian era and Infants 3 visited the Museum of London to learn more about the Great Fire of London.

Assemblies were provided by Haven House and Sr. Monica spoke to the girls about our sponsor child Benitah who lives in Uganda.

All classes were involved in the E-Safety Day provided by Childnet in January attending age related workshops. Architectural Workshops helped the girls to create some amazing tall and complicated structures and all girls attended Road Safety talks.

Travelling Books were in school for a week coinciding as it does each year with World Book Day. The girls rose to the challenge of dressing as their favourite character and some wonderful outfits and hair colours were in evidence!

This week has seen the Prep 4 girls helping with the PA cake and stationery sale – they were very keen to volunteer – particularly with the cakes!
